Mini-Triathletes' Charitable Success

Our school sporting heroes' escapades are getting more exciting by the minute and our Triathletes are no exception...

At the end of September they took part in The Hever Castle Triathlon in Kent, which is the biggest children's triathlon in the world!! Over 1500 kids took part. Their distances were: a 100m open water swim (in a lake), a 4km cycle and a 1.3km run.

All six of them -  Darcy, Louis, Ben, Wilkie, Mila and Tymon from Zambezi (Year 6) - completed the course and had a real blast too. They were all absolutely amazing, making the parents very proud.

Louis managed to come in 4th place in their wave - out of over 130 kids! And it was his first triathlon!

For the past few weeks most of them got together for weekly training sessions at Brockwell lido despite the freezing water temperature! And all did their own running and cycling training.

Our brave triathletes raised between £500-600 for different charities, thanks to their phenomenal endeavours in this exciting competition.

Well done all of you!
