Government Funding Cuts News, October 2017

Dear Parents
You probably remember that earlier this year the Government wanted to change the way schools were funded which would have meant substantial cuts to Lyndhurst Primary School.
The first draft of the plans caused a massive uproar and they were dropped after the Government lost their majority in the 2017 General Election.
However they have announced another round of funding changes and again it’s bad news for Lyndhurst.
The anti school cuts campaign website:!/schools?chosenSchool=2102392 says that Lyndhurst will £226,300 in total by 2020. This amounts to £574 for each pupil and could mean the loss of four teachers.
If this concerns you, you might want to email your MP
There’s a lobby of parliament on 24 October:
I’ll update you with more actions when I get them,
Best, Richard.
