We're in the final stages of prep for the Summer Fair on Saturday 17th June and hope that you are all planning to come along for what promises to be a fun filled day. Back by popular demand will be the Silent Disco and Festival Photo booth, along with all your fair favourites such as another amazing raffle, the ever popular tombola, willow crowns, petting farm and a visit from our local firemen and engine! Not to mention the tasty BBQ, a spit roast lamb and live music.
This is the time when we start asking you for help, without which the fair would not be a success. So thank you all in advance! Here's a quick run down of what we need as we approach the big day...
1. Volunteers to man stalls
The stall rota is attached and a copy will also be going up on the playground notice board (once the rain stops!) and in the new school office. Please drop me an email at this address to let me know where/when/how you can help out. Just an hour on a stall is all we are asking for...
We also need people willing to pop along during Saturday morning to help us put up gazebos, set up tables for stalls, hang bunting etc. If you can drop by for an hour anytime after 9am we'll find something for you to do. Thank you!
2. Disco decorations
We'd love to be able to decorate the Lower Hall for the Silent Disco (as an example last year we hung inflatables from the ceiling). If anyone has ideas / props / time to help decorate please do let us know.
The biscuit decorating stall will be in need of biscuits for children to decorate. If you can bake a batch please let Sarah Phillis know (she can be contacted at this email address too).
The tea & cake stall relies on your wonderful creations to sell on the day. Please bake us something to sell and bring it along to school anytime during the Saturday (we'll be there from 9am!) or drop off the NEW school office on the Friday before. If you would like your cake tin returned, please mark it clearly with your name and these will be left in the office for you to collect the following week.
We could do with a LOT more tombola prizes: we accept anything new, so if you have unwanted gifts at home, bottles of alcohol, new books/DVDs/games, can offer a voucher for a service you can provide or get something from your place of work, etc. it will all be very gratefully received. Again, tombola items should be left in the new office and it would be helpful if you could mark that they are for the tombola.
Preloved items are needed for the toy stall, teddy tombola and book stall. Please bring them to the office. But no broken toys or incomplete games, please.
Would anyone like to stick their hand up to be our official fair photographer to take photos of the event for use on the school website and our thank you cards after the fair?
Thank you all and we look forward to seeing all your donations flood into the office and don't forget to pop your name on the stall rota somewhere!
