We want to ensure the whole school follows the correct procedure and all children have the correct kit for PE lessons. All children must bring in a full PE kit (see document below), which should not be worn to school.
There are after school clubs for Key Stage 2 Football throughout the school year. Letters go out in book bags at the beginning of each term. We encourage all of the school's children, who would like to try their feet at the game, whatever level or gender, to take part.
We also have an amazing Year 5/6 school football team, which is something they can aim for and enjoy the process of working towards together, to achieve a positive team ethic and phenomenal skills, as well as great results.
Lyndhurst's Year 5/6 Football Team trains weekly and plays regularly (weather permitting). Team matches are normally held on Saturday mornings at either Rosendale Playing Fields, or Dulwich Sports Ground.
Thanks to Coach Jim North at the helm, under the auspices of Mr Grace and Mr Peddle (pictured below),the team has gone from strength-to-strength over the last few years. So far this season, 2017/18, they have not lost one match.
Mr Hammill is ALWAYS on the side lines with the team, offering advice and encouragement. Why not join him and the other supporters next time there's a match? It's a good idea to wrap up warm, it can get a bit chilly!
WATCH THIS SPACE for match updates. You can always check out the upcoming fixtures (again, weather dependent) here.
In 2016 Lyndhurst's Year 6 Triathletes cycled and ran their way to the finishing line on behalf of some good causes. Read all about our Mini-Triathletes' Charitable Success.
The team (Ben, Mila, Louis, Wilkie, Darcy and Tymon) raised over £500 for various charities. Looking at the photos, you all look completely professional – well done!
In the 2015/2016 season our Goalkeeper, Molly, had some great news: She was selected to play for the South London District Under 11 Girls Football Team.
Well done Molly, what a fantastic football achievement!
Our sports event mean a lot to us at Lyndhurst Primary Schooll We have a talented community and the athletes benefit hugely from your support on the sidelines and in the stadia.
We'll keep you up-to-date of all school sporting events at which family and friends are welcome to attend. (Please note: It can get chilly out there so wrap up warmly, bring a flask with hot drink in it and, if you feel like it, bring a little home-made cake and fruit to share! It really adds to the atmosphere!!)
